What it does on the labia
The treatment is to the skin of the labia, not inside the vagina: it tightens loosened skin of the outer labia and the fold of the inner labia where the skin has stretched. Volume lost from the outer labia is a filler question, and symptoms inside the vagina, dryness or incontinence, are a different treatment, which we offer at the same address and the doctor names at the consultation. The evidence
The device is FDA-cleared in the US for dermatological procedures needing coagulation or contraction of soft tissue. In 2018 the FDA said it had cleared no energy-based device for vaginal laxity or other vaginal symptoms; this treatment is to the skin of the labia only. No published study measures the labia with Morpheus8, and we say so; the mechanism is the one studied on the face, and the doctor shows you at the consultation what is realistic.
Who it suits, and the session
Loosened or crepey skin of the labia in someone who has finished having children or wants the change for its own sake, with no active infection, no active skin disease in the area and no pregnancy. Numbing cream for 30 to 45 minutes, then a short session, with swelling and tenderness for several days, loose underwear, no intercourse, swimming or hard exercise until the skin has settled, usually a week, and the doctor's own after-care sheet. The change shows from about three weeks, peaks at three months after the last session, and lasts a year or more in our clinic's experience with one maintenance session a year.
