FAQ

Morpheus8 questions answered

These are the questions people put to us through the form and at the consultation, grouped the way they are asked. Price and which areas come first because they are asked most: more than half of the messages we receive ask the price, and the face, the abdomen, the neck and the legs are the areas named most. Where an answer depends on your skin, the free consultation is where the clinician settles it; call 0207 043 8128 or use the form below.

Price

How much does Morpheus8 cost?

From £295 per session, priced per area and per course, confirmed in writing at your free consultation. We price match any comparable written quote, a course of three costs less per session than three singles, and 0% finance is available over a course. The prices page shows how a quote is built.

How much is a session on the double chin area?

The area under the chin is priced as an area on its own, from £295 per session, with the course price in writing. If you want the jawline with it, the clinician quotes the two together.

Can I have the jawline and cheeks only, without the forehead, and does a course of three cost less?

Yes. The quote covers only the zones you want, so a jawline and cheeks quote does not carry the forehead. A course of three per area costs less per session than three single sessions.

For the legs, is the price per leg, and does it cover the whole upper leg?

The clinician quotes per area and writes down exactly what the area covers, per leg or both, knee to the top of the thigh or a part of it. Ask for the quote in the form you need and that is how it is written.

Do you offer finance or payment plans?

Yes, 0% finance over a course. The clinician goes through the terms at the consultation.

Which areas Morpheus8 treats

Does Morpheus8 work on the abdomen after children or weight loss?

Yes. Loose skin on the abdomen after pregnancy or weight loss is one of the areas people ask us about most. The 40-pin body tip reaches 7 mm to contract the deeper tissue and build collagen, in a course of three sessions four to six weeks apart. Skin that has lost its elasticity entirely, or an apron of skin after major weight loss, needs a different plan, and the clinician will say which at the free consultation. The body page covers the abdomen, arms and thighs.

Do you treat the abdomen for men?

Yes. The abdomen and the jawline are the two areas men ask us about most, and the treatment is the same.

Will it work for under-eye bags, or for droopy upper eyelids?

Under-eye bags that are loose skin, yes: the small 12-pin tip tightens the crepey skin and softens fine lines around the eyes at shallow depth. Bags that are a fat pad, or a hooded upper eyelid, need a different plan, and the clinician tells you which you have at the free consultation. The eyes page explains the treatment.

I have a double chin but have been told it is loose skin. Can Morpheus8 help?

Yes, that is the case it suits: lax skin under the chin and along the jawline, treated with the face tip. Morpheus8 is not a fat-removal treatment, so a double chin that is mainly fat needs a different plan, and the clinician tells you which it is. The neck and double chin page covers it.

Does it work on stretch marks and acne scars?

Acne scars respond well: a course of three to four sessions softens and flattens them, and a 2026 review of radiofrequency microneedling across 41 studies found it consistently reduced acne-scar scores. The body tip treats stretch marks too, and how much they soften varies from person to person, so the clinician tells you at the consultation what to expect for yours.

Can it help scars from surgery on my arms?

Yes, once the scar has fully healed: Morpheus8 is used on scars, and the clinician looks at yours at the free consultation and says plainly what is likely.

Does it work on pores, texture and oily skin?

Yes. Pores, texture and fine lines are what the shallow resurfacing tip is for, often in one or two sessions.

Sessions and results

How many times do I have to do it before I see the result?

You see a change from about three weeks after the first session, and the result that holds comes from a course, usually three sessions four to six weeks apart. The sessions page sets out the course by concern.

How long does Morpheus8 last?

A year or more after a full course, in our clinic's experience, with one maintenance session a year keeping the result. The tightening peaks at three months after the last session and keeps improving a little to six months.

What is the recovery?

Two to five days of redness, swelling and grid marks on the face, a little longer with bruising on the body. Makeup from day two, exercise from day four, no sun for a week and SPF 50 every day for a month. The downtime page goes through it day by day.

Does it hurt, and can I have extra numbing?

A strong numbing cream goes on for 30 to 45 minutes first, and with it most patients in our clinic rate the sensation at 3 to 5 out of 10. If your pain threshold is low, or a previous treatment elsewhere was stopped for pain, say so at the consultation: the clinician plans the numbing and the energy around it.

Who it suits

Is Morpheus8 safe on brown skin, and can it cause hyperpigmentation or worsen melasma?

It can be used on brown skin with conservative settings and strict sun protection, because the heat is delivered through the needles rather than the surface. At the higher energy levels the device is cleared in the US only for Fitzpatrick skin types I to IV, the pale to olive range, so darker skin is treated at lower settings. In a 2026 review of 41 studies, darkening after RF microneedling was infrequent and settled on its own; melasma still needs care, so the clinician checks your skin at the free consultation and tells you plainly what is safe for it.

I have rheumatoid arthritis and take strong medication. Can I have it?

An autoimmune condition and immunosuppressant medicines are on the list the clinician checks, because they affect healing. Bring your medication list to the free consultation; the clinician may ask for your consultant's view before deciding.

How long after a cold sore should I wait?

Until it has fully healed, with no scab left. An active infection or cold sore in the area rules a session out on the day, and if you get them often tell the clinician, who can plan antiviral cover around your sessions.

I am petite and worried about losing fat in my face. Is that a risk?

Radiofrequency heat remodels fat, which helps on the abdomen and the jowl and is unwanted on a thin temple, under the eye or on a slim face. The clinician treats the face with the face tip at face depths and plans around your concern; say so at the consultation. The safety page explains what decides the outcome.

Who sets the depth and the energy?

The clinic is doctor led and every session is run by a trained clinician, who sets the needle depth and the energy for each zone of your face or body, shallower over bone and thin skin, deeper where there is tissue to contract.

Compared with other treatments

Is Morpheus8 better than microneedling?

Microneedling alone makes tiny channels in the surface of the skin. Morpheus8 adds radiofrequency heat delivered at the tip of each pin below the surface, which is what contracts the tissue and tightens; microneedling alone has no heat to contract the tissue. For texture and pores alone, either works; for laxity, Morpheus8.

Is Morpheus8 better than injectable treatments?

They do different things. Injectables relax lines or add volume; Morpheus8 tightens and smooths the skin itself. Many people have both, with a two-week gap after an injectable treatment and four weeks after dermal filler before a Morpheus8 session, and the clinician plans the order.

Can I combine it with other treatments?

Yes. Morpheus8 is often combined with Sofwave or EMface at our sister clinics at the same address, Sofwave for the skin of the brow and neck, EMface for the lifting muscles of the face. The clinician plans the sequence at the free consultation.

Booking and the clinic

Is the clinic doctor led?

Yes. The clinic is doctor led and CQC registered, and every session is run by a trained clinician on a genuine InMode Morpheus8 device.
